Today Matt and I had a Renaissance Day! We started the afternoon out at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire (which I think is a kind of weird name for it but whatever). We had a lot of fun wandering around and looking at all the shops. We watched a couple of shows and ate some crappy fish and chips but overall it was a good day. Didn’t really see any desserts that jumped out at me. After that we went to Medieval Times! Its one of those theme dinner places where they feed you theme food while you watch a kind of cheesy show. We had a lot of fun though. We got to watch choreographed horses, jousting and sword fights amongst other things. All the while eating giant hunks of chicken with our bare hands. The food was surprisingly good (delicious tomato soup with focaccia bread and delicious BBQ ribs). For dessert we were served these apple turnovers. They were pretty generic, I’d say a step up from grocery store but on the same level as diner desserts. But they were tasty and we had a great time.
